HastelloyC alloy is a versatile Ni-Cr-Molybdenum-Tungsten alloy that offers better overall corrosion resistance than other existing Ni-Cr-Molybdenum-Hastelloy C276,C4 and 625 alloys.
Hastelloy C alloys have excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
It has excellent resistance to oxidizing water media, including wet chlorine, nitric acid or a mixture of oxidizing acids containing chloride ions.
At the same time, Hastelloy C alloys also have the ideal ability to resist the reducing and oxidizing environments encountered during the process.
With this versatility, it can be used in some troublesome environments, or in factories for a variety of production purposes.
Hastelloy C alloy has exceptional resistance to various chemical environments, including strong oxidizing substances, such as ferric chloride, copper chloride, chlorine, thermal pollution solution (organic or inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, seawater and salt solution.
Hastelloy C alloy has the ability to resist grain boundary precipitation formation in the welding heat affected zone, which makes it suitable for many kinds of chemical process applications in the welding state.

1.Corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid solution of any concentration until 70℃,corrosion rate about 0.1mm/a.
2.Corrosion rate of all kinds of concentration hydrochloric acids is not higher than 0.1mm/a at room temperature,less than 0.5mm/a until 65℃.Oxygen filling in hydrochloric acid influences the corrosion resistance significantly.
3.Corrosion rate is less than 0.25mm/a in hydrofluoric acid,higher than 0.75mm/a in the conditions of 55% H3PO4+0.8% HF in boiling temperature.
4.Corrosion resistance to dilute nitric acid of all concentrations at room temperature or higher temperature,the rate of it is about 0.1mm/a,good corrosion resistance to all concentrations chromic acid and organic acid and other mixture until 60 to 70℃,and corrosion rate less than 0.125mm/a and 0.175mm/a.
5.One of the few materials capable resistance to dry and wet chlorine corrosion,can be used in the conditions of corrosion exchanged in the dry and wet chlorine gas.
6.Resistance to HF gas corrosion of high temperature,the corrosion rate of HF gas is 0.04mm/a until 550℃,0.16mm/a until 750℃.
