It has nearly double the yield strength of 304 and 316 stainless steel and has better corrosion resistance than 317L stainless steel. N50 Stainless remains non-magnetic even after being severely cold worked. It maintains strength at high temperatures as well as sub-zero temperatures

This austenitic stainless steel has corrosion resistance greater than that provided by types 316, 316L, 317, 317L plus approximately twice the yield strength at room temperature
• Nitronic 50 has very good mechanical properties at both elevated and sub-zero temperatures unlike many austenitic stainless steel grades,does not become magnetic in cryogenic situations
• Nitronic 50 does not become magnetic in cryogenic situations
• High Strength (HS) Nitronic 50 has a yield strength about three times that of 316 Stainless Steel
